The City of Mission Viejo and its Community of Character Committee are
bringing the Rachel's Challenge Program to our community. This groups
mission is to inspire, equip and empower every person to create a
permanent positive culture change in their school, business and community
by starting a chain reaction of kindness and compassion. The positive
message of this incredible program has changed lives, and had an impact on
students across the country.
Most of the schools are already working on the program, and a few have had
the opportunity to have an assembly presentation on site. For those who
have not been introduced to the movement, there are events planned
throughout March and April, that are open to the community. A
schedule of the events is listed below.
Outta Bounds Events is implementing the Rachel's Challenge curriculum into
its after-school program and its day camps. We will also be promoting and
supporting the various events that are being hosted by the city.
Just as our camps make a difference in the lives of children, events such
as these can make an impact that will not be forgotten. Please take the
opportunity to attend one of the upcoming events, and we hope that you
will join us our pre-dinner gathering.

for distributing information and creating links of character. On Sunday,
the Community of Character Committee and volunteers will attempt to create
a 5 mile chain of links of character, that were made at
schools and organizations throughout the community. Each link of the chain represents
someone's commitment to, or celebration of, an act of caring or kindness. The
entire festival will be a great experience for the whole family.
